Terese Bouchard

…owner of Huntington Meadow Stables, has been riding since she was a young girl. She and her husband, Dick, opened Huntington Meadow Stables (HMS) in 1977. In addition to running the business and teaching lessons, Terese is the Nazareth College Equestrian Team coach and the HMS IEA Team coach. She also teaches the English riding course for Rochester Institute of Technology, which has been offered at HMS for over 30 years.

dick Bouchard

…oversees the day-to-day management of the stable. Some highlights of his riding experience include barrel racing and calf roping. Dick was a whip with the Hopper Hill Fox Hunt in 1974. He rode “42nd Street” in the professional divisions with the Syracuse PHA in 1977, and “Flumbá” in the 1979 jumper divisions. In 1980, he started the HMS Polo Club, and he played with the Bostwick family in Gilbertsville, at Cornell University, and in Vermont.

Valerie Hoban

…is known as one of the area’s top children/pony trainers. She has taken students from short stirrup to juniors, trained students at top shows up and down the east coast, and challenged her students to qualify for and compete in national-level shows. Her experiences in the show ring, plus professional training in education, make her an ideal instructor for children. She has been teaching elementary school in the Webster Central School District for over fifteen years. Her two sons, Nathan and Benjamin, share her love for horses, and the Hoban family owns several horses on which the boys compete.

Kim Ernisse

… trainer, is one of the area’s leading hunter riders and hunter and jumper trainers. Kim was a child rider at HMS, and started her show career on lesson horses. She competed extensively as a child and junior rider, and continued to ride professionally. Kim has successfully ridden some of the top hunters in the area, and offers instruction. Her dedication to solid fundamentals is key to her success in training horses, instructing riders, and in the show ring.

R.J. Stansbury 

… originally from Maryland and has been working professionally with horses and riders of all levels since the early 1980s, both at his own Crickhollow Farm, and also for other barns on the East coast including Four Seasons Farms (NJ), Glenview Stables (NY) and Leo Conroy Stables (NJ). As a junior he competed in the AHSA Medal Finals and rode hunters and jumpers. He and his students have competed at Upperville, Middleburg, Devon, the Fall Indoors, and Lake Placid, among many others. Currently he is a professor at Roberts Wesleyan College. At HMS he offers lessons and helps coach the IEA and Nazareth College Equestrian teams. He and his family live in Mendon NY.
